Determinism

Determinism - The philosophical doctrine that all events including human actions and choices are fully determined by preceding events and states of affairs, and so that the freedom of choice is illusory.

Edward Lorenz referred to weather prediction as being so unpredictable, so sensative to small movements that in theory the movement of a butterfly's wings in Brazil could cause a tornado in Texas.
The Butterfly Effect.
Over the years the term 'Butterfly Effect' has been adopted as a metaphor for small, insignificant events causing a chain reaction to larger, more monumental ones.

Chance is described as happenings that seem to have no assignable cause, which makes me believe that the term 'chance' is applied to the continuum between the small, insignificant event and the larger, more monumental one.

Therefore Chance is just part of the Butterfly Effect which is a metaphor for Determinism.

So all the choices I make in reference to this project which I believe to be of my own free will, are actually already determined by preceding events, and all the 'happenings' that seem to have no assignable cause at the time are all just a continuum of the Butterfly Effect.
